Who are we looking for? 

As a Delegate Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to acquire a diverse and influential group of delegates. Your efforts will be instrumental in ensuring our events attract thought leaders, industry experts, and decision-makers, making them valuable and memorable experiences. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute delegate acquisition strategies tailored to each event, with a focus on meeting or exceeding delegate targets. 
  • Identify and research potential delegate groups based on event themes, industry trends, and target demographics. 
  • Create compelling outreach campaigns, including email, social media, and direct communication, to engage potential delegates and convey the value of attending our events. 
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align delegate acquisition efforts with broader event promotion strategies. 
  • Conduct market analysis and competitor research to stay informed about industry trends and delegate expectations.
  • Build and maintain a database of potential delegates, tracking interactions and progress in CRM software. 
  • Actively reach out to potential delegates via phone calls, emails, and other communication channels, nurturing relationships to secure their participation. 
  • Respond to delegate inquiries promptly and provide accurate information about event details, benefits, and registration procedures. 
  • Attend industry-related events, conferences, and networking opportunities to identify and connect with potential delegates. 
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of delegate acquisition campaigns, making data-driven adjustments to improve results. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless registration process and a positive delegate experience. 

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in delegate acquisition, event marketing, or a related role.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with potential delegates. 
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities to handle multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously. 
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other tools for lead tracking and management.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to tailor outreach strategies for different events and delegate segments. 
  • Adept at market research and competitor analysis to inform delegate acquisition strategies. 
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, yet also function effectively as part of a team. 
  • Knowledge of event industry trends and best practices is a plus.
